This course is a study of the chemical characteristics and reaction of materials in emergency situations, especially thermal destruction. These materials may be in the storage, handling or transportation stage of industrial process. Materials to be studied include flammable liquids, combus-tible solids, radioactive compounds, and oxidizing and corrosive materials.
