EDE 4930 - Special Topics in Education I-BS 1 Credit(s) Prerequisite(s): Admission into the Bachelor of Science in Education program or special permission from the Associate Dean of Baccalaureate Programs This course is designed for students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Education programs. This course provides an orientation to the teaching profession, disposition requirements, state standards and the pre-professional teacher portfolio. Students will demonstrate writing skills and complete the initial assessment of student disposition records to be kept throughout the remainder of their course work. This course also presents teacher candidates with qualitative and quantitative research skills, as well as with current library and technology resources available.
