OCE 1001C - Introduction to Oceanography 3 credits Prerequisites: SB 1720 Testing Exemption or successful completion of all Developmental courses An interdisciplinary exploration of the world’s ocean presented in a combined lecture-lab format. This course emphasizes the basic scientific processes that govern the ocean and focuses on the classic disciplines of geological, physical, and chemical oceanography. Using the delicate marine environment of Southwest Florida as a natural laboratory, students will have the opportunity to apply the concepts learned in the classroom to the field.
