NUR 2523 - Mental Health Concepts Across the Lifespan - AS 1 credit Prerequisites: NUR 1511 with a grade of “C” or higher Corequisites: NUR 2310 /NUR 2310L This second mental health course assists the students in understanding dynamics of human behavior and acquiring knowledge of mental health concepts related to anxiety and to mental health disorders common at specific periods across the lifespan. This course builds on mental health concepts taught in the introductory course. Select mental health experiences and activities will be incorporated into NUR 2310L , Pediatric Nursing Concepts, for Basic and Advanced Placement students. These clinical learning experiences will provide students with the opportunity to further develop their roles as provider of care, manager of care, and professional within the discipline of nursing. This course requires students to utilize some basic computer skills and computer-assisted instruction.
