Purpose
The Fire Officer Supervisor College Credit Certificate encompasses a series of courses that focus on key areas of fire officer supervision, including leadership, management, strategic planning, and emergency response coordination. These courses are designed to provide practical and theoretical knowledge, addressing the specific needs of aspiring fire officers who seek to transition into supervisory roles. The certificate prepares students for the Fire Officer I certification test with the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training. By completing the CCC, students will have the required coursework to apply for the Fire Officer I certification test. The CCC will serve as a valuable credential for students aiming to advance their careers in fire service.

Program Learning Outcomes
- Synthesize and apply knowledge of building construction principles, materials, and structural systems to analyze fire behavior, evaluate safety considerations, and develop effective firefighting strategies and tactics, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the impact of building design and modification on fire service operations and structural integrity during fire incidents.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of fire service leadership, including organizational structures, career development, and the multifaceted roles and responsibilities of fire officers at various levels.
- Apply knowledge of fire service operations, community engagement, and incident management systems to effectively lead and manage fire service organizations and emergency incidents.
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to develop, deliver, and evaluate effective fire and emergency services training programs, incorporating effective instructional techniques, curriculum design, and resource management.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in fire science fundamentals, including fire chemistry, physics of fire and combustion, fire protection systems, and fire prevention practices.
