Purpose
The Associate in Science (AS) in Business Analytics program prepares students for careers in business management, database, budget, and operations research analysis; and database administration. Students will apply theories and principles of financial and market intelligence, querying databases, identifying data trends, and producing action reports. The AS also prepares students for baccalaureate degree programs in related disciplines such as accounting, business administration, management, and finance.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Data Organization and Analysis: Apply principles of data organization and utilize business intelligence tools to transform raw data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
- Financial and Business Decision Support: Evaluate financial and business information using analytical methods and software tools to enhance organizational decision-making processes.
- Information Systems and Requirements Analysis: Describe and analyze information systems, focusing on project goals, data security, storage, movement, and functional requirements, to support business operations effectively.
- Business Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrate proficiency in business communication and collaboration, ensuring effective teamwork and professional interactions across organizational contexts.
- Database and Application Development: Apply foundational knowledge and critical thinking skills to solve complex business challenges and streamline operations.

Graduation Requirements
Students must fulfill all requirements of their program to be eligible for graduation. All courses within the Program Requirements category must be passed with a grade of “C” or better.
