HUN 1201 - Human Nutrition 3 credits Prerequisites: BSC 1010 and BSC 1010L , both with a grade of “C” or better, or testing (CLEP Biology) This is an introductory course to the scientific principles of nutrition, covering the role of specific nutrients, their digestion, absorption, and metabolism, sources of the nutrients and requirements of the various age groups. This course cannot be used to meet the AA Science requirement since it has no accompanying laboratory.
