HSA 3383 - Fundamentals of Quality Management in Health Care 3 credits Prerequisites: STA 2023 with a grade of “C” or higher; and prior to enrolling in any upper level course (course number beginning with a 3 or 4), students must complete the following courses with a grade of “C” or better: ENC 1101 - Composition I , ENC 1102 - Composition II , and three semester hours of college level mathematics; or permission from the appropriate academic Dean The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the processes of, and tools used in, Quality Management, to apply these techniques to the health care profession. It is also intended to use statistical methods and analysis to diagnose problems within the present health care system and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
