IDS 3355 - Problem Solving through Critical Thinking 4 credits Prerequisites: CGS 1100 or equivalent competency; and prior to enrolling in any upper level course (course number beginning with a 3 or 4), students must complete the following courses with a grade of “C” or better: ENC 1101 - Composition I , ENC 1102 - Composition II , and three semester hours of college level mathematics; or permission from the appropriate academic Dean This course provides students with the opportunities for analysis, synthesis, prescription, and application of critical thinking and decision making in solving organizational problems through group activities and the use of computing devices. A major focus of the course will be on logical reasoning and mathematical strategies for problem solving.
