NUR 1022 - Fundamentals of Nursing - AS

Prerequisite(s): NUR 1010 and NUR 1142, both with a letter grade of “C” or higher
Corequisite(s): NUR 1022L
Students are introduced to the practice of the Associate Degree nurse and the role as provider of care, manager of care, and member of the discipline of nursing. Using the nursing process, students begin to assess human needs and the actual or potential problems that interfere with the client’s ability to meet these basic needs. Students learn fundamental, technical, and interpersonal skills. Clinical experiences are provided in selected area hospitals and extended care facilities.
