MUN 2013 - Ensemble Participation

0 credits
Prerequisites: Permission of instructor
MUN 2013 is a newer listing in the SCNS database, initially added by FSW peer institutions, SSCF and FSCJ, in Fall 2020 and Fall 2021, respectively.  It is a zero-credit ensemble course that will allow students to register for ensembles beyond the four credits required for the music pathway through the AA degree.  This course is offered by permission of instructor only.

Music students often require a third and sometimes fourth year of study at FSW in order to complete their general education requirements for the Associate of Arts degree while also completing the prescribed pre-reqs for transfer to upper-division music programs.  It is imperative that all music students participate in applied lessons and ensembles throughout their tenure at FSW in order to maintain and improve their musicianship.  This is common practice for all schools that offer music curricula.  MUN 2013 will allow students to continue participating in ensembles without adding to their overabundance of elective hours.  The addition of this course will be especially helpful to students who have been required to take remedial and preparatory coursework which extends their stay at FSW.

[This course number will be cross-listed with the corresponding MUN 1xxx or 2xxx course.  All ensembles carry a $30 lab fee.]
