Prerequisites: FFP 1000 or higher with a grade of “C” or better, or current State of Florida Certified Firefighter II
This course prepares firefighters for the responsibilities of a Fire Company Officer. It covers a wide range of topics essential for effective leadership and management in the fire service, from basic supervisory skills to incident command and community risk reduction strategies. Students will demonstrate effective communication and decision-making while applying fire officer leadership strategies that are required for the role.
