NUR 4165 - Nursing Research 3 credits Prerequisites: Acceptance into the RN to BSN Program. Current valid, unencumbered, and unrestricted RN license. NUR 3870 Informatics for Healthcare Professionals This course provides an introduction to scientific inquiry and the research process in nursing and enables the student to understand and use published research. Scholarly inquiry, scientific integrity, scientific investigation, and research as it pertains to evidence-based nursing practice are explored. Issues and problems and the systematic evaluation of reports of empirical research are discussed. Evidence-based practice is discussed with students actively engaged in developing proposed evidence-based practice changes.
