RET 4034 - Problems in Patient Management


3 credits
Prerequisites: Admission into the BS Cardiopulmonary Sciences Program, the RRT credential; and prior to enrolling in any upper level course (course number beginning with a 3 or 4), students must complete the following courses with a grade of “C” or better: ENC 1101 , ENC 1102 , and three semester hours of college level mathematics; or permission from the program director.
This course is designed to provide an understanding of patient management problems within the intensive care environment.  Students will focus primarily on assessment and treatment of the critically ill adult. This content comprises the single greatest emphasis for the NBRC Adult Critical Care Specialist credentialing exam for Respiratory Therapists.
