NUR 2420C - Maternal Nursing

Prerequisites: NUR 1050C , NUR 1511C , and NUR 2144 , all with a grade of “C” or better
This didactic and clinical course focuses on the nursing care of childbearing women and their families through all stages of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as care of the newborn. Emphasis is on the process of labor, birth, and recovery, teaching about pregnancy, and parenting skills. An overview of women’s health issues is also included.
