NUR 1068C - Health Assessment 4 credits Prerequisites: Acceptance to the ASN program This didactic and lab course focuses on the health assessment of individuals within a multicultural society. Biopsychosocial and spiritual dimensions of health are assessed. Using scientific methods as a framework, concepts of communications, critical analysis and clinical decision-making are emphasized in assessing psychological and physiological health status throughout the lifecycle. The basic skills of interviewing, history taking, data collection and physical examination are employed to derive nursing diagnoses, determine priorities and therapeutic nursing interventions.
