FIN 3400 - Financial Management I 3 credits Prerequisites: ACG 3024 - Accounting for Non-Accounting Majors with a grade of “C” or better; and prior to enrolling in any upper level course (course number beginning with a 3 or 4), students must complete the following courses with a grade of “C” or better: ENC 1101 - Composition I , ENC 1102 - Composition II , and three semester hours of college level mathematics; or permission from the appropriate academic Dean This finance course involves the study of financial analysis and decision-making from a management perspective. Topics include financial statement analysis, financial planning and forecasting, time value of money with analysis and computation tools, risk and rates of return, asset valuation, capital budgeting, and various financial decision-making tools and methods.
