IDS 2110 - Special Topics: Ethnomathematics 1 credit Prerequisites: Minimum of 45 college level credit hours This course is an interdisciplinary course that allows students to synthesize key components of their general education experiences while focusing on a specific theme. This particular course focuses on the topic of ethnomathematics and will begin with a discussion of how mathematics is or was used in daily life within the context of various cultures. The latter part of the course will consist of individual student presentations on a topic of their choice related to ethnomathematics. Presentations and/or work leading up to the presentations must include evidence of mastery of all five of the general education learning outcomes.
