SLS 1515 - Cornerstone Experience

The Cornerstone Experience course at Edison State College is an integrative and interdisciplinary course designed to help first-year students acquire critical thinking and decision-making skills that promote academic success. In this course, students will learn about college resources and requirements, explore career objectives and programs of study, establish relationships with mentoring faculty and develop a support group among peers. Through relevant course activities and opportunities for applied learning, students will develop cognitive strategies that will provide a foundation for success as they continue through their course of study towards degree or program completion. Initially this course will be required for all first time in college students testing into two or more College Preparatory areas.
