Library Services, Resources, Instruction, and Facilities

The FSW Libraries, located on the Charlotte, Collier, and Lee Campuses and the Hendry/Glades Center, offer a wide array of services, resources, instruction, and facilities to support academic research. The libraries provide access to approximately 36,000 print volumes, 35,000 eBooks, and 48,000 streaming videos. Students have access to approximately 100 subscription databases, which provide millions of articles from scholarly journals, newspapers, and magazines, as well as reference materials, streaming video, and eBooks. Using Interlibrary Loan Services students can access print books and journal articles not held by FSW Libraries. Students can borrow print books and articles from the libraries of Florida’s 28 public colleges and 12 public universities through the Florida Academic Library Services Cooperative (FALSC), which is part of the Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC).

The FSW Libraries locations provide student access to over 200 computers, wireless Internet, open study space, and multiple study rooms. FSW Faculty Librarians provide one-on-one Research Instruction as well as formal Research Instruction Workshops to groups of students in a lab or classroom. For more information about library services, resources, instruction, and facilities, visit the FSW Libraries’ homepage at www.fsw.edu/library/.

Access to Library Resources

Many of FSW Libraries’ resources are offered online. Currently enrolled students can access ebooks and databases using the same information required for Canvas. In order to borrow a print book from any of the campus libraries, the student must present a current FSW Buc ID Card
