The Emergency Medical Services Technology Programs are designed to prepare the student to become a competent entry-level Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and/or Paramedic. Studies include an introduction to the field of emergency medical services, including but not limited to the following: EMS operations, patient assessment, medical behavioral emergencies, obstetrics/gynecology, trauma, and emergency medical services for infants, children, and geriatrics.
Requirements for completion of the AS degree in Emergency Medical Services include Florida EMT certification and Florida Paramedic certification.
