OCB 1000 - The Living Ocean

3 credits
Prerequisites: SB 1720 Testing Exemption or successful completion of all Developmental courses
A study of the living ocean presented within the context of marine biology and biological oceanography, two closely related albeit distinct fields. This course emphasizes the basic scientific processes that affect marine ecosystems and the organisms in the sea. Using the delicate marine environment of Southwest Florida, students will have the opportunity to apply the concepts learned in the classroom during field trips.
