This course addresses the theory and practice of collecting and analyzing ecological data in terrestrial, wetland, freshwater and saltwater ecosystems. The course includes an overview of regulatory agency permitting and hands-on experience in sample collection, data recording, data storage and analysis. This is a “capstone” course that provides students an oppor-tunity to apply skills developed in previous courses to ecological sampling, data analysis and report preparation; the course is recommended for the sophomore year.
