PHT 1211 - Disabilities and Therapeutic Procedures I - AS 2 class hours 2 Credit(s) Prerequisite(s): PHT 1200, PHT 1103 Course introduces the student to the theory and practical application of physical therapy modalities. The physiological effects of and the indications/contraindications of patient care interventions such as heat, cold, radiant therapy, electrotherapy, traction, intermittent compression and massage are presented. Principles of effective documentation and discharge planning are discussed. Problem-solving skills are detailed.
