MAT 9013 - Pre-Algebra (*)

Prerequisite(s): Testing or permission of the Dean of Academic Success Programs
This course prepares the student for success in MAT 9024, Introduction to Algebra. Topics to be covered include whole numbers, integers, fractions and mixed numbers with signed numbers, decimals with signed numbers, order of operations, polynomials, linear equations, ratios and proportions, and percents. Applications of topics are used throughout the course. Successful completion of this course requires a grade of “C” or better. (*) Preparatory credit, does not count toward a degree or certificate
